This bed frame is an excellent value. I got a deal buying the mattress and bed frame together and couldn't believe how cheap it ended up being. I was a little worried about the quality, but it turned out to be quite good. I was actually surprised by how nice the wood is. It doesn't look cheap at all. Unfortunately, when my bed frame and mattress arrived, both boxes were pretty banged up. The mattress wasn't affected, but the box containing this bed frame was severely damaged, and open on BOTH ends. I was amazed that the wood wasn't damaged, but the bag of hardware (necessary for putting this thing together) was missing. That wasn't fun. Amazon was helpful and gave me $40 back, but I had to go to Home Depot twice AND another hardware store to get all the little pieces I needed. It was a bit of an inconvenience, to say the least. At least this bed is easy to put together.Not easy to put together...especially bolt and screw in pieces...pretty frustrating and made the task take double the time...also by simply lableling the legs left and right would have made it take much less time to understand picture...directions were fair at best. Once it is together decent bed and quality for price. I put a lot of furniture together and this was one of the worst...reminded me of ikea...which for me is not a good memory :/. Will not buy from Atlantic againA bitch to put together but very solid and attractive once in place. My 5 year old loves it; I was reading a story to him and was so tired, I started to fall asleep; he says: Mom go to your own bed, this is my bed! I got kicked out of my own sons bed! It's a great bed for a young person/teen or a guest room. It has a small profile so if your room is small this works well. My husband went on endlessly about how difficult it was to put together but he was able to do it without my assistance and it looks fabulous.Kind wish I hadn't bought this bed. I probably should have known from the price but it is not very sturdy at all. It creaks like a mofo. and the way the headboard is positioned - your pillow ends up slowly getting pushed between the headboard and the bed and by the mornnig your sleeping on a sliver of a your pillow. It hasn't broken yet which is good. Every time I turn over it kind of feels like it might but it has stayed together so it has that going for it.I'm pretty sure most of the issues I experience are from construction, which were my errors rather than issues with the product. It's a pretty decent bed.We bought this bed for my mother-in-law, who is quite ill. She spends most of her day in bed and finds it to be very comfortable. We like the fact that we had a choice in the height of the bed.Very impressed with the quality of this bed. It's very sturdy, the color is true to the picture and it takes about an hour to put together (1 person). If I bought another one, I would assemble the headboard first so I would have something to rest the side boards on while I was putting the frame together.The finish was cheap and cracked when it arived with mismatch colored headboard and frame. So I had to exchange the white headboard for a black "espresso" color. Pretty comfortable with a 9" mattress until the boards break under you from kneeling on the end of your bed... and the screws came out... I am so disappointed about this Purchase.
