2.1.21, 4:41pmI absolutely love this bed/frame assembly setup. It is rich looking and the construction is solid with assembly time, a breeze, at about 10 minutes. I was thrilled about the quick and simple assembly as I was not looking for another project. I am Thrilled, thanking God for it every time I get in and out of bed, it is perfect and has exceeded my expectations. I now have space for my shoes under the bed and that makes me even happier(currently bed is setup in a small space). So anyway, here we go with a few more detail that are (((((((VERY IMPORTANT))))))). So... as of today, if you buy this, you have to use a Box Spring or buy extra Support Slats or cut some plywood. I opted for the slats because I did not want the addition height of the box spring nor the cumbersomeness of dealing with it. I bought 18- 4"x39" slats additional(came with 6) precut at Home Depot for $3.49 PLUS TAX and I got a 10% off military discount. I thought about buying plywood, cutting it to fit, but said "NO WAY", to going through all that hassle of dealing with a big piece of wood every time, or even this initial time. Purchasing the 3.5 inch x 39 inch(frame is setup at 39.5" wide) slats vs box spring vs plywood was worth it to me in the long run, they filled in perfectly. Bed breakdown(when needed) and reassembly are a breeze and has proven to be easy and beneficial on the initial setup. As stated, the other option is to use a box spring. Aside from being cumbersome that will make your feet dangle off the bed when sitting on the side trying to get dressed, sox, shoes, etc. even on the lower bedframe height setting. With that being said, there are 2 height setting on the base for height, air flow, a dog or cat run or just storage, I opted for shoe placement. 1 height adjustment at about 6 inches high and the other about 14 inches high. I initially had it set up on the higher and quickly discovered that my feet would dangle off the side of the bed. Not to easy while getting dressed, so I have mine set lower. It was quite the hassle setting it low once the bed was set up. But using the slat system vs the plywood proved beneficial. Over all, it is the perfect setup for me, looks great in my space and with a matching style of night stand, it looks Saweeet. I hope this helps and if it does please acknowledge this review so I know if this is worth the time to help someone avoid the pitfalls I went through, Be well, John V.
